February Meeting – Sowing Seeds of Sanity, Sustainability and Sustenance

On Thursday, Feb. 21 at 7 p.m., the Collingswood Public Library will host a gathering of citizens initiating action in the community with a goal of restoring our food choice freedom. Together we will study the impact of the genetically modified organisms (GMOs) that are in our food supply, learn how to avoid them and explore ways to increase awareness about this serious global crisis.

Know your GMO-free food source — grow your own! Begin planning now and start by taking a virtual walk through the growing season with Master Gardener Gwenne Baile. After her talk, Gwenne will answer questions and lead a discussion about planting a sustainable garden. We will also have time to plan the next step of sowing seeds of GMO awareness.

Bring a friend! We will have DOOR PRIZES! Lucky winners of our drawing receive GMO-free seeds!

Thursday, Feb. 21, 2013, 7 p.m. to 8 p.m.
