Seed Sovereignty
Work Party

Sunday, October 12 at 12:00pm – 5:00pm
When Nate Kleinman and Dusty Hinz, founders of Experimental Farm Network, led our SEED SAVING TO FOOD SOVEREIGNTY meeting in September we knew it was just the beginning of something very special. This is THE autumn event we’ve all been waiting for! We get to visit the Experimental Farm Network–we’ll get to tour the farm, help with any farm chores that are calling that day, and see for ourselves this unique and groundbreaking (pardon the pun) initiative. We will learn about seeds, seed saving, the rare perennial crops they’re growing and so much more. Those of us who attend this event will become a “seed group” for sustainable gardening in New Jersey & Philly, for we can see that so much more will grow out of our kinship with Nate and Dusty.

Your window of opportunity is from noon to 5pm but feel free to come for any portion of that time slot. If you plan to be there for a long stretch or over lunchtime bring a packed lunch. Also bring gardening gloves, water to drink and sunscreen if you need it.

Anyone who wishes to attend this special event, please RSVP. There are two ways to do so:

1) send an email to gmofreenj@gmail.com
2) send a private Facebook message to Barbara E Thomas

All who RSVP will receive the needed details a few days before the event, including exact location of the work party. For general info, the farm is located near Elmer, NJ and is about 40 minutes south of the Philly/Camden County area. Hope you can come!

This is a child friendly event.

LOOKING FORWARD!
