SAVE THE MONARCH! – Monthly Meeting

May 21, 2015 @ 18:30 - 20:00

Special guest: Keara Giannotti, a local naturalist and executive director of Camp Creek Run, a nature-focused day camp and nature preserve in Marlton, NJ

GMO Free NJ welcomes Keara Giannotti, local environmental educator to help us learn more about the majestic Monarch butterfly. Come find out the reasons for its recent decline and actions we can take to restore a safe habitat for the Monarch and all of our pollinators. You will learn about alternatives to chemical weed killers and how to make your own yard an attractive pollinator friendly haven.

Together we can make New Jersey a sanctuary and way station for the beautiful & regal flower on wings, the Monarch Butterfly.

Because milkweed is the only food for Monarchs, everyone attending will receive a pack of native milkweed seeds. One lucky attendee will go home with a special door prize.

Free and open to the public–bring a friend.
