GMO Free NJ is pleased to welcome farmers Dusty Hinz & Nate Kleinman, co-founders of the Experimental Farm Network based in Elmer, NJ for a special talk about seeds. Topics will range from practical seed saving basics to current policy issues and how they impact our food choice freedom. Nate and Dusty will share advice on how to collect, store and start seeds as well as how to get involved in plant breeding projects and seed saving projects on their own heirloom farm. Attendees will also have the opportunity to hear their thoughts on seed sovereignty and the movement toward a new paradigm of “Anti-Oppressive Agriculture”. Find out how to help build a fair and sustainable agricultural future that will empower communities and create true food security for all, right in your own back yard.
