Thursday August 15, 7:00-8:30pm

Come in out of the heat and gather with others to enjoy a screening of the beautifully filmed documentary Deconstructing Supper, directed by Marianne Kaplan. In under an hour this little gem of a film takes us from a five star gourmet restaurant in Canada, to genetic engineering labs, down supermarket aisles, to farms across North America and India and back again. This thought provoking look at food production in the age of GMOs and industrial agriculture is informative and startling. Because there are mouthwatering scenes of lovingly prepared and delicious looking food, there will be complementary organic popcorn. After the movie GMO free NJ members will be on hand to answer questions and lead discussion. Film is 48 minutes long and is appropriate for children. Bring a friend!
